Meet Jesus

Do you know that God loves you, no matter who you are or what you have done. Regardless of what may have happened to you to make you think otherwise, God cares about you more than you can imagine. You may say How do you know? More importantly, question you should be asking your self is how can i know this Love

I want to show you how I know and how you can know. I want to show you how you can experience God’s love for yourself in a real and powerful way.
But first let’s take a look at how much God loves you. Imagine the most love that you have ever felt from anyone, remove any selfish motivation whatsoever from it and multiply it a million times and you will still not come close

God thinks about you constantly and even knows how many hairs you have on your head

Let’s take a look at what God has done to prove his love for you. I’ll start with the ultimate proof of God’s love. The Bible tells us that ‘…God so loved the world that he gave his only Son …’. John 3:16 (NLT) When Jesus died on the cross, it was for you and he would have died for you if you were the only person in the world. If you have not seen the movie ‘The Passion of The Christ’ then I recommend that you do. While you watch it, try to remember that it was all about God’s love for you.

Every lash of the whip, every punch and every moment of pain was taken on your behalf. Ignoring everything else that Jesus has ever done for you, he has still done more for you than anyone else ever could when he died on your behalf.

Sure someone else could die for you but there is more to Jesus’ death than the physical side. When he died he suffered spiritually, that spiritual suffering was so severe because Jesus was taking the punishment for every bad thing that has ever been done by anyone for all time, (past, present or future!)

God shows his love to us in many ways. We tend to take a lot of things for granted. The air we breathe, the clothes we wear and the food we eat. God provides all those things because of his love for us. Every good thing you own and have ever owned was a gift from God. Each day that we live is a gift from God. God’s desire is for you to be with him in an wonderful place called heaven where he wants to bless you for all eternity.

The first question is why did he die

Well the Bible tells us that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory God

So what does that mean to you and me well it means that we have all done stuff wrong and with God standard being so high we just completely fall short of it

you my say well I have never done anything big I have never killed anyone I have given to charity when I could I am a good person well let me ask you this have you ever lied it does not have to be a big lie it might be to Your partner asking you have you been to the pub on the way home and saying no when you did stop in for a quick one or when there is something on TV that you want to watch and someone says to have you seen the remote control and you know if they find it they will turn it over so you say no

Than wither it be a big lie or a small lie a lie is a lie

And there is many other way of falling short of God standards it is impossible to not brake Gods Holy laws

And so then this intern leaves us is a predicament that we can not come close to God and can not go to heaven when we die so if we die in this state were have lived a good moral life but have not come to repents to Jesus we go to a place called hell

But see this is were the love comes in God saw this problem and new it had to be dealt with God could not just forgive us if He did He would be braking His own word and He would not be God

So something had to be done because we have committed a crime in rebellion to God and like any good legal system today if you do the crime you have to do the time and so with our crime comes a punishment and that punishment was hell

But God loved us to much to see us die and go to hell and there was no why that we could make our self right with God

So God sent himself in a body of a man and that mans name was Jesus the Christ

The Bible tells us about this For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

18 “There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.

See what happened was that Jesus lived a sinless life and so when Jesus hung on the cross and said it is finished and then rose again three days later

He had paid our debt He bore our punishment God took all our sin all our crimes and all our punishment and heaped it on Jesus

So what Jesus did was that He paid for our sins He bore our punishment the Bible says He made Him (that’s Jesus) who knew no sin to become sin for us

And so Jesus has done it all what Jesus did on the cross the Bible calls a gift of God

But like any Gift no matter how great it is it does us not good unless we receive it

We have to except what Jesus did for us if you want a fresh start or want to know this love this peace that God gives us you want Jesus then you are in the right place God is willing to wipe the slate clean

But we have to except it first God love us so much that He sent Jesus to pay for the stuff we have done wrong and all we have to is accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour when we have not got Jesus in our life we are hanging of a cliff and because Jesus saves he is stretching His hand out to you to grab hold of you

I wont to ask you the most important question of your life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, or if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?

if that is a no then this is

THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION we will ever make in this life it is where we will spend eternity its were you will spend eternal life. When we have made that choice and accept Jesus, we’re not only prepared to die...we’re finally ready to live!

Death: is the end of excuses, the beginning of eternity and I am asking you were are you going to spend it

For the bible says “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

so If you willing to accept Christ as your Saviour and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to be your Saviour and Lord by praying this prayer like this: "Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and my Saviour. I want to serve you always in Jesus name amen."
