 Blackpool Christian Centre is an Elim Pentecostal Church, one of more than 500 in the United Kingdom. The Elim movement was founded in Monaghan, Ireland, in 1915 by George Jeffreys who was an outstanding evangelist. Between 1915 and 1934 George Jeffreys conducted missions all over the country (at which many miracles of healing took place) and established many new churches.
Our building was erected in 1935 and originally known as Jubilee Temple, the foundation stone laid by George Jeffreys himself. In 1984 the name was changed to Elim Christian Centre and more recently to Blackpool Christian Centre.
